Our fall hike was yet again at Bear Mountain State Park, and we were lucky to catch the beginning of fall foliage. The Foundation partnered with the Fresh Air Fund and its mentors and youth to bring a new group of kids into the woods. The Binghamton Outdoors Club also sent down their usual group of mentors. We did a really strenuous hike, but everyone pushed themselves to the top and were rewarded with sweeping views of both the mountains around us and, in the distance, even the New York City skyline. To top it off, we planted pea pods and painted planters for the kids to take home.
