Meet Our Team

Cynthia Potel

Cynthia Potel is the brave Co- President of the Matthew Potel Foundation, and, with her team, has already improved countless children's lives through the program. Cynthia and her husband, Mark, recently moved to the Berkshires and are loving the transition to a more natural environment that they can appreciate daily. Prior to joining the Binghamton Outdoors Club she hadn’t participated in many outdoor pursuits, but since then has found a love for nature and all the fun it holds! She hopes to help younger people have the same kind of realization she did about how amazing and fun nature is, and help expand the nature-loving community!

Brendan first heard of the Matthew Potel Foundation through the Binghamton Outdoors Club. He graduated from Binghamton University in 2016 and after attending the Foundation's annual fundraiser a few years later he was hooked and inspired to join the team. As an Eagle Scout, Brendan has spent a lot of time in nature and hopes to give the same opportunities of exploring, enjoying, and connecting with the outdoors to as many people as possible.
